ACADEMICS

1 School is affiliated to CBSE and is following CBSE curriculum.
Medium of teaching is English.

2 To have effective control over education, school’s functioning is divided into different departments as follow:
Department                       Classes
Nursery                                  P.N, Nursery, KG
Primary                                  1st -5th
Middle                                   6th -8th
Senior Secondary                   9th -12th
Three streams are available --- medical, non-medical and commerce.

3 Students of classes’ 1st to 5th are required to keep their books/copies in the school and are not allowed to carry to their homes.      Only on specified days, particular books are allowed to be taken home. For the students of classes 6th onwards, timetable is so   planned that students are not burdened with much homework.

4 Most of the learning is done in school itself under the supervision of the teacher.

5  Special classes are also planned for slow learners.
    
E –EDUCATION
1.School has introduced e – education system of teaching and has developed its own software for teaching subjects like English / Maths / Social Science / Computer / Science/Hindi/Punjabi to the classes 1st onward.
2.School has installed LCDs in all the classes and is having CDs on all the subjects.

COMPUTER DEPARTMENT
1 School is laying great emphasis on teaching with high-tech teaching aids.
2 There are six computer labs with more than 200 computers and 50 LCD’s



LABS
1.       There are three science labs ( Physics, Chemistry and Biology )
2.       One Math Lab

SCIENCE CREATIVE LAB 
In Science Creative Lab, students get an opportunity to know the basic scientific concepts. Students get answer of ‘how’ and ‘why’ with the help of practical activities.
Students are encouraged to make simple Science Models and projects from the waste material.
With these types of activities, students learn the basic concepts of Science behind the modern techniques that we are using in our daily life activities.
                            


GROUP DISCUSSION
Chapter wise Group Discussion is an important feature of our teaching in which all the students are actively involved. Students are encouraged to ask questions and their queries are solved. It helps in better understanding of the lesson.

SPECIAL CLASSES FOR SLOW LEARNERS
School is conducting special classes for slow learners.
 


LEARNING OF ABACUS
School also helps the students in learning Abacus by outsourcing specialists.
               
PARENTS - TEACHERS MEETING
Separate schedule is fixed for every department.
 
PARENT’S VISIT TO SCHOOL
Besides visiting on PT meet day, parents are welcome to meet the Principal/ Vice Principal /Teachers as per schedule displayed on school’s notice board.

COUNSELLING
From time to time and at every step, guidance is provided to the students  to help them in learning way to overcome examination fear. Experts are also called to guide the students on career guidance, health and personality related problems / issues. 

SCHOOL LIBRARY
Besides subject books, there are number of other books also like general knowledge, personality development,  hobby, time management, biographies of great men, encyclopedia, language development, environment related, poetry and activity etc.
More than 30 magazines and news papers are also available for the students.
